CIE Automotive, a publicly traded company based in Bilbao, with 113 plants in 16 countries, has acquired Iber-Oleff Brasil. The Spanish multinational currently has 11 plants in Brazil with more than 2,600 employees, and will integrate to this operation another plant located in Salto-SP, with almost 400 people.

Iber-Oleff is specialized in the production of plastic components for vehicle interiors. Its processes integrate injection, welding, painting, laser and assembly. The investment made by the Spanish company also includes the acquisition of land attached to the Iber-Oleff Brazil plant, which will allow for future expansion of the facilities.

According to Jesús María Herrera, CEO of CIE Automotive, "The integration of Iber-Oleff Brasil gives us access to the main Asian OEMs in the country, and reinforces our position with the European and American OEMs. The project offers us a unique opportunity to grow with all of them".
