Trescal operates mainly in Europe and America, in addition to operations in Singapore and Tunisia. Trescal has 86 metrology laboratories and employs more than 2,300 employees worldwide, serving more than 35,000 customers in various sectors such as Aerospace, Defense, Telecommunications, Automotive, Electronics, Energy, Health, Chemical and Petrochemical.

Trescal invoices more than EUR 225 million per year. With this acquisition, Trescal begins to operate 7 accredited metrology laboratories and to employ more than 200 employees in Brazil.

Situation Overview

Founded in 1995, Metrosul is accredited by Inmetro and has a lot of technical expertise in dimensional, electricity, temperature, humidity, pressure and mass (scale). With sales of R $ 6 million (EUR 1.5 million), the company employs 55 people and operates mainly in the Automotive, Energy and Food & Beverage sectors.

Clairfield International do Brasil advised Trescal in the entire process in the acquisition of Metrosul. This is the second acquisition of Trescal in Brazil with Clairfield as exclusive financial advisor. Clairfield has been advising Trescal since its first expansion plans for Brazil, in the sector mapping, in the strategy of acquisitions and sector consolidation, in the approach to potential targets and in business advice.
